The pipe fitting (1) is used on the discharge conduit of a container vehicle transporting granular materials in bulk. The fitting comprises a flanged (5,6A) bend with an integral butterfly (3) valve. The butterfly is mounted directly in the inlet (2) or the outlet (6) opening, and may be mounted in an opening which permits discharge under gravity. The arrangement simplifies the fitting and permits the inclusion of a ramped approach to the outlet.
