PURPOSE:To read data into a computer, which is not connected to a magnetic tape directly, with a simple constitution, by reading a program or data from the magnetic tape to this computer. CONSTITUTION:By the instruction of a computer 2, a program or data of a prescribed data volume unit is read into a computer 1 from a magnetic tape 3 during a predetermined prescribed time. Data of the prescribed data volume unit read into the computer 1 is transferred to the computer by the instruction of the computer 2 after a prescribed time. In data trasnfer from the computer 1 to the computer 2, an additional word indicating the end of the unit is added to the last of one prescribed data volume unit, and the computer 2 detects this additional word to confirm the data receiving end of the prescribed data volume unit. After confrimation of the data receiving end, the instruction is transmitted to the computer to read the next prescribed volume data. |
