The under floor heating system using hot water at a relatively low temperature, uses concrete slabs (1) with the water circulating tubes (4) embedded in them, which are fitted together to cover a required floor area. These tubes form a serpentine coil, connected between larger tubes (2,3) down each side. These larger tubes terminate in plug-in connections permitting the slabs to be easily joined together. After assembly, these end tubes are connected to supply and return lines, completing the circuit. Along the edge of each slab projects a resilient locking member (8) which is inserted in a groove (7) along the edge of an adjacent panel. All the tubes carry a fin (2a,3a,4a) which extends outwards to the surface of the slab.
|
