<p>A process for preparing a medicinal ingredient represented by the following formula: CH3(CH)nCH = CHCO2H (wherein n represents 10, 12 or 14) which comprises extracting the whole or the ligament of corbicula with water and a non-solvent or with an aprotic solvent, removing the solvent from the extract and, if necessary, purifying the product; and a medicinal composition for improving lipid metabolism containing the compound of the above-described formula as an effective ingredient. </p> |
