<p>PURPOSE:To obtain photoconductive powder with superior dielectric strength by deionizing photoconductive powder in an electric field to accelerate the leaching of electrically conductive ions latent in the power and to remove the ions. CONSTITUTION:Photoconductive powder 10 is put into a part enclosed by a micron filter 2 and well dispersed in water with a stirrer 1. While keeping the dispersed state, by applying an AC voltage to platinum electrodes 3 from an AC power source 4, the powder is deionized. At this time, heating is carried out with a heater 5 as requried. Water contg. ions separated by the deionization is fed in the arrow 9 direction with a pump 6, ion-exchanged in an ion exchange and adsorption column 7, and refluxed. The progress of deionization is measured with an instrument 8 for measuring electric conductivity.</p> |
