Title compds.(I; R1 = Cl, Br, I; R2 = H, halogen; R3 = H, loweralkyl, hydroxyalkyl) useful as antispasdomics and sedatives, were prepd. by reaction of III and COCl2 followed by alkylation of 2-position of the reactants. Thus, 11g 7-bromo-5-(0-chlorophenyl)-2-hydrazino-3H[2, 3-e thieno-1,4 -diazepin in 250 ml C6H5CH3 was stirred with 100ml 15% COCl2 solved in C6H5CH3 followed by extracting with satd. soln. of NaHCO3 and recrystallizing with MeOH to give 9.1 g 8-bromo-6-(0-chloro phenyl)-4H-triazolo [3,4-C thieno-1,4-diazepin-1-on (m.p.; 233-236≦̸C).
