The fuel injection pump has a distributor head (2) and a cam drive arrangement (3) driven at engine speed by shaft (5). The distributor head contains a pump and distribution piston (7) which is reciprocated and also rotated through drive (8) of cam arrangement (3). It pumps fuel into each of pressure lines (16) in turn. Pressure relief port (18) is arranged to time the end of the injection period when it reaches relief groove (20). Injection timing can be adjusted in a simple manner by fitting calibrated spacing discs (22) between piston (7) and drive (8). |
