<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-life rolling bearing that is excellent in the wear resistance of an inner and an outer ring and rolling elements and is desirable in lubrication between raceway surfaces of the inner and outer rings and rolling contact surfaces of the rolling elements. SOLUTION: An inner ring 2, an outer ring 3 and rollers 4 of the self-aligning roller bearing 1 consist of alloy steel containing, C of 0.1 to 0.7 wt.%, Si of 0.1 to 1.5 wt.%, Mn of 0.1 to 1.5 wt.%, Cr of 0.5 to 3.0 wt.%, V of 0.6 to 2.0 wt.%, Mo of 3.0 wt.% or lower, Ni of 2.0 wt.% or lower, and Fe and unavoidable impurities in the remaining amount. A carbonitriding is performed at a temperature of 920 deg.C or higher and forms surface layers 8 with a carbon concentration of 0.7 to 1.3 wt.% and a nitrogen concentration of 0.15 to 0.3 wt.% and with carbide, nitride and carbonitride of a particle size of 0.1μm or less of at least 400 particles/100μm2 by deposition. A cavity region 6 formed between the inner ring 2 and the outer ring 3 is filled with a lubricant-including polymer member 7.</p> |
