PURPOSE:To attempt improvement in machining efficiency, reduction of costs and the like by supporting two works such as cam shafts so as to be axially concentric, and using a single rotating-vibrating apparatus to rotate and vibrate the works in synchronization with each other when they are superfinished. CONSTITUTION:While being centered, two works A and B are supported between tail stocks 7 and 60 and between 6 and 70 respectively, and one end of the work A and both ends of the work B are clamped by means of chucks 8, 62 and 72. Passages 4c and 4d in a head 4 are connected to a tail stock operating selector valve 33 through ducts. In the lower part of a housing 3, a driving unit 40 is provided, and the rotation of the driving shaft 41 thereof is transmitted to the work A through the chuck 8, the work B, the chuck 62, a rod 60d, a connecting plate 73, the tail stock 70 and the chuck 72. Thereby, the cam parts A1, A2, B1 and B2 of the works A and B are rotatively driven and ground by means of grinding wheels R and F. |
