<p>A method of and apparatus for controlling the heat deformation of machine tools having a plurality of frames is disclosed in which the temperatures at symmetrical or opposite portions of the frames are measured, analyzed and then utilized to maintain the temperatures of the frames at the same temperature, or to maintain a constant temperature difference between the frame portions. The frame portions may either be heated or cooled to obtain the desired temperature.</p> |
