PURPOSE:To retain high security against an impact load, by conducting one pole of a cell to the circuit board via a spring substaining the cell and using the other pole to form a conducting terminal at a part of an electrostatic shielding plate. CONSTITUTION:The electrostatic shield plate 22 has a function to prevent the static electricity caused by the clothes or the like as well as to conduct to the cells 20-1 and 20-2 by the conducting terminal formed at a part of the plate 22. Such plate 22 is fixed to three fixing tubes 19 provided to the element cover 16 by screws 15c, 15d and 15e respectively, and the screw 15e is driven by the stage part 22c formed by bending the plate 22 in two stages. At the same time, the cell 20-2 is provided at the lower part of the liquid crystal cell 1 to bring contact with the cover 16. In such constitution, both the taper part 16c and the cell holding part 16d of the cover 16 sustain the impact load even in case the watch is dropped onto a hard object or the like. Thus high security is retained as the no direct load is applied to the cell 1. |
