As for this optical fiber 7, its length to the laser diode 3 can be selected freely if only the position of the focus (f) is correct. Accordingly, once one end of the optical fiber 7 is fixed to the focus (f) of the lens 1, the printed substrate 4 on which the laser diode 3 has been mounted can be removed from the housing 2 as it is in said state, which is convenient for performing its adjustment, etc. Furthermore, since it is unnecessary to place the laser diode 3 and the cooling device on the optical axis, it is very convenient for mounting the equipment. |
