PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to place a light emission element on the axis of the optical system, and easily cool the light emission element, by directing a light output of the light emission element through the optical filber. CONSTITUTION:A light output of the laser diode 3 propagates in the optical fiber 7, and is sent out to the space from the focus (f) of the lens 1. As for this optical fiber 7, its length to the laser diode 3 can be selected freely if only the position of the focus (f) is correct. Accordingly, once one end of the optical fiber 7 is fixed to the focus (f) of the lens 1, the printed substrate 4 on which the laser diode 3 has been mounted can be removed from the housing 2 as it is in said state, which is convenient for performing its adjustment, etc. Furthermore, since it is unnecessary to place the laser diode 3 and the cooling device on the optical axis, it is very convenient for mounting the equipment. |
