<p>PURPOSE:To form an automotive interior fitting material with high productivity by spraying thermoplastic resin powder on necessary parts on the backside of an upholstery material, and melting said resin and while it is in a half-cooled condition, pressing for forming. CONSTITUTION:A carpet 20 trimmed in a finished product spread-out condition by means of a trim cutter 1 is deposited on the starting point of a belt conveyor 2 in such manner that the lining of the carpet 20 may be turned upward. In addition, a masking jig 21 is set on the lining. Next, the conveyor 2 is caused to run in an arrow direction and a thermosetting resin 22 sprayed from a hopper 5 is piled up on the carpet 20 (the residual resin which drops into a container 6 is recovered by a hopper 5 through the intermediary of a pump 7). After the jig 21 is removed, resin 22 is melted by means of a conveyor belt for heating 8 and the molten resin is made to attach on the surface of the carpet 20. Following this step, the molten resin is cooled down to a temperature between a melt fluidizing point and the secondary transition point by the conveyor belt for gradual cooling. Thus said resin is fed to a press forming die 3 for forming.</p> |
