PURPOSE:To absorb ink rapidly and prevent the ink from flowing-out nd exudation even when plural droplets of the ink are adhered to a recording material in an overlapped manner, by providing on paper a recording-liquid receiving layer which contains particles of a porous inorganic material capable of retaining coloring matter by adsorption. CONSTITUTION:The inorganic pigment used here is natural zeolite, synthetic zeolite, diatomaceous earth or the like, which may be used either singly or jointly. The particles of the pigment are mixed and dispersed into a dispersion or solution of a binder to produce a coating material. The coating material is coated on a substrate consisting of a porous material such as paper, and the coated layer is dried by the usual method. The droplets of a recording liquid containing the coloring matter is jetted to said recording-liquid receiving layer by the ink jet recording method, thereby conducting the recording. |
