PURPOSE:To form a recording media permitting high output and high density record by adding the predetermined amount of Co to an alloy thin sheet including Fe, Ni and Al and by fixing the contents of Ni and Al to predetermined values wherein the alloy thin sheet of 1mm. thick or less is easily made. CONSTITUTION:An alloy thin sheet of predetermined thickness is made by including Fe, Ni, and Al and by fixing the contents of Ni and Al to 5-35% and 5-15% by weight respective and the remaining part as Fe. Furthermore, Co of 1-40% by weight is included in the sheet. And the sheet is made as a spinodal type or precipitation hardening type composition. In making the sheet of predetermined thickness, the above mentioned components are dissolved and casted by high-frequency heating or the like and hot rolling is applied to the casted mother alloy to make an alloy thin sheet of 1mm. thick or less. Furthermore, a solubilization is applied to the sheet for predetermined hours at a predetermined temperature and quenching to simultaneously magnetize by a predetermined magnetic field. And a high output and high coercive force recording media of 1mm. thick or less is easily prepared to be used for a magnetic tape or the like. |
