PURPOSE:To facilitate recovering of the developer by allowing a blade member to make sliding contact with a photoreceptor during image forming, spacing the same from the photoreceptor while not in image formation, and carrying the developer which has been dammed up by the blade member to a developing device. CONSTITUTION:After transfer, the magnetic toner remained on a photoreceptor 2 after the transfer process is removed by a cleaning device 8. When no irradiation of a light image from an exposure means 5 to the photoreceptor 2 is made and no images are formed on the photoreceptor 2, the cleaning device 8 does not fulfil cleaning function, and the magnetic toner remained on the photoreceptor 2 is conveyed up to the position of a magnetic brush developing device 6. The magnetic toner is then sucked to a magnetic brush 9 and is recovered into a supply tank 11. |
