PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of knocking during operation of a supercharged rotary engine when it is supercharged under positive pressure, by providing a mechanism capable of decreasing the advance in the ignition timing on the leading side when the engine is supercharged under positive pressure. CONSTITUTION:When the intake pressure is negative, a base plate 8 having a trailing contact breaker 9 fixed thereto is turned for controlling the ignition timing, and at the same time, a bade plate 3 having a leading contact breaker 4 fixed thereto is also turned by a screw 7 fixed to the base plate 8. On the other hand, when the supercharging pressure becomes positive, the base plate 3 is turned by the function of a return spring 26 which is extended between the base plate 3 and a base plate 25 fixed to the body 1 of a distributor, so that the ignition timing is delayed by an amount determined by an elongated hole 28 formed in the base plate 3. Thus, it is enabled to prevent occurrence of knocking during operation of the engine when the supercharging pressure is positive. |
