At least two, pivotably-mounted brush strips are provided on opposite sides of the mouthpiece plate. The free brush ends are positioned above the working plane in a non-working state but below this plane in a working state. A manually operated adjuster is coupled to the brush strips. The adjuster has a lever pivotable between two stops corresp. to working and rest positions. Two elbow lever rods have one of their ends linked to the adjuster's lever. Their other ends are linked to the respective brush strips at a radial distance from their axes of rotation. An elbow frame is formed establishing at least one dead point in the working position over the point of rotation of the adjuster's lever in its extended position.
