Compressor valve with spring plate - has movement restrictor shaped as bending line of bar gripped at ends

The compressor valve comprises a plate of spring material. It is clamped in place at one side and lifted clear of the opening in the valve seat by the gas pressure, together with a movement restrictor. The face of the movement restrictor towards the valve plate is shaped to correspond with the max. amount of distortion of it. The shape of the restrictor (8) corresponds to the bending line of a bar gripped at both ends, while the free end of the valve plate (5) moves freely in a narrow gap (18) between the seat (1) and the restrictor. The design combines simplicity with long life.
