The automatic control system is for a pit cage, and consists of a drive machine, a braking system with braking lever, a safety brake, hoisting cable, control and safety equipment. The control circuit contains a changeover switch and an emergency power supply. The main drive is shut off as soon as the safety circuit comes into operation. The safety system (6) contains an additional safety cable (11). The safety cable extends along the entire length of travel and can be operated from the pit cage. A blocking switch (13) blocks the braking lever of the main drive, which is switched off bringing the safety circuit (1) into operation.
