The collector uses an absorber element (1) which is constituted by a tube made of heat-conducting material and is shaped in the form of an undulation which preferably has a cross-section of triangular shape. The undulated wall is covered by a layer of lampblack; moreover, it is wrapped in a layer of plastic material. The absorber element (1) is arranged in the region of the focal axis of a mirror which is constituted by a flexible sheet (33) with a reflecting surface and is mounted in a monobloc container which can be closed in a sealed manner. The container can be made to rotate by acting on a toothing (30). In addition to bringing about great efficiency, which can be obtained at a lower manufacturing cost, the collector allows an arrangement which is fixed and with a horizontal focal axis. The collector can be equipped with an automatic defocuser, for safety of the collector assembly itself. <IMAGE>
