Motor vehicle door window raising mechanism - has variable gap between bottom pane edge and sliding raiser guide faces

Drive provides movement for a raising component, bearing the pane, sliding along a guiding rail, in a mechanism for raising windows, esp. on motor vehicles. The gap between one, or a group of, guide surfaces and the bottom edge (18) of the pane (5) is variable. These surfaces can be located on sliding elements, (8,9), movable in relation to each other, and pref. held under spring tension. A shanked spring (29) may be used as resilient space retainer for these elements. With provision made for lowering the pane almost to the bottom of the door, this still allows effective pane guidance.
