PURPOSE:To form the image of color information on originals, extending from a red-black bicolor original to a multicolored original, with simple constitution by a copying machine, etc., which copies a manuscript, by discriminating and reading information carried on the original surface as different-color information and by recording it in different color. CONSTITUTION:Beam splitter 109 is installed behind lens 108 in the optical path of incident light to photodetector 110 and light passed through lens 108 reaches the photodetection surface of element 110 to form the image of information on the original surface to be read. This splitter 109, for example, when two red and black colors are used, permits blue light of short wavelength to pass through and reflects red light of long wavelength. Photodetectors 110-1 and 110-2 photodetect the reflected light and transmitted light respectively to read point B and A on original table 105. Consequently, color information on originals extending from a red-black bicolor original to a multicolored original can be formed into an image with the simple constitution. |
