PURPOSE:A nonpoisonous soil stabilizer with excellent compression strength and resistance to water permeation, giving a gel of low water releasability, which is prepared by compounding water with water glass. phosphoric acid, an alkali metal alminate, etc. in a specified proportion. CONSTITUTION:A soil stabilizer is prepared by compounding (A) 7.5-12.5wt% (calculated as SiO2) water glass (e.g., an aqueous soln. of sodium silicate), (B) 0.8-4wt% (calculated as P2O5) phosphoric acid and/or polyphosphoric acid [e.g., orthophosphoric acid or Hn+1PnO3n+1 (wherein n is 2-20)], (C) 0.05-0.55wt% alkali metal aluminate (e.g., sodium aluminate) and/or basic aluminium salt (e.g., basic aluminum chloride) and (D) the balance of water. Said stabilizer may be additionally compounded with (E) 0.1-2wt% (calculated as P2O5) phosphate (e.g., monosodium phosphate). |
