PURPOSE:To obtain a steep and long lasting high voltage by connecting in paralle an ignition coil to an ignition coil for arc time prolongation and by placing a Zener diode in nomal direction from a power source of a high impedance to a power source of a low impedance. CONSTITUTION:An ignition coil 6 having less turns, compared with ordinary ignition coils, and an ignition coil 8 for arc time prolongation having about the same number of winding, are respectively connected in parallel on the side of their secondary coils 6b and 8b. A Zener diode 10 is connected in normal direction from the secondary coil 8b to the secondary coil 6b. When a breaker point 9 is opened and capacitors 5 and 7 are charged, SCR 4 is conducted. The allows the charging load of the capacitors 5 and 7 to be discharged through SCR4 and the primary coils 6a and 8a. When discharged, a negative voltage is generated in the secondary coil 8b. The voltage is slow in starting and long in time width. In the secondary coil 6b is produced a steep and high prositive voltage is which opposite to the voltage generated in the secondary coil 8b. |
