The timber false-ceiling panel comprises a framed sheet of plywood or similar, utilising bars or mouldings of an approximate square cross section in the frame. Continuous longitudinal grooves are provided in two opposite sides of each bar, housing onto the edges of the sheet, and housing a floating tongue respectively. The abutting framed external faces of two adjacent panels are, connected by a floating tongue to form a combined moulding. The fixing may use a housed 'Z' section which rests against a suspended inverted 'T' section.
