Antifreeze is in tablet form, which is rapidly soluble in water, to facilitate dosing. The tablets can be divided by grooves for increased convenience of dosing. The antifreeze is useful for vehicle and other combustion engines and also in closed pipe systems, sprinklers, fire extinguishers etc. The tablets are easy and convenient to use, require little packaging, undergo no loss during storage and are readily transportable. Suitable portions involve the addn. of 1 tablet/1 water for frost protection down to -20 deg.C.
