<p>The tube connection comprises a plastic tube and a coupling element of which one end is provided with external screw thread whilst the other end fits into the tube end is secured by a clamping sleeve around the outside of the tube. The outside surface of this other end is provided with circumferential ridges to provide a coupling connection which can withstand an axial tensile force. The ridges may penetrate into the tube material. The tube may be in a material with post-crystallisation characteristics such as polybutene and the element may be in metal. A seal ring may be arranged between the tube and the element, pref. in an annular groove in the element.</p> |
