PURPOSE:To effectively generate a high voltage and contrive to momently make complete combustion of combustive gases by a method wherein a series circuit of a resistor and a gas-filled discharge tube is connected in parallel to a capacitor of an ignition circuit. CONSTITUTION:A battery 1 is connected in series with an ignition primary coil 2 and the capacitor 3, the capacitor 3 being connected in parallel with a contact breaker 4 and the series circuit of the resistor 5 and discharge tube 6 respectively and terminals on the earth side and the opposite side of the contact breaker 4 are connected with one end of an ignition secondary coil 7 on the secondary side. Subsequently, the ignition coil 7 on the other end is connected with a distributier 9 through which the high voltage is supplied to a spark plug 8. The resistor 5 in low resistance is used. |
