The mixture, emerging from a compressed-air assembly, of compressed air and abrasive medium is channelled through a supply hose (10), through the stationary part (1) of the unit into the rotating nozzle-head part (2) and virtually into the distributor area (24). The end of the supply hose (10) is enclosed by a sleeve (14) on which there are seated two ball-bearings (23) which carry a flange-like part (21). The ball-bearings (23) are protected from dust on either side by shaft sealing rings (25, 26). Opposite the inlet opening into the distributor area (24) there is provided a pot-shaped cutout (28), in which there is deposited abrasive material which forms a buffer for protecting the nozzle head. <IMAGE>
