PURPOSE:To obtain thermal recording paper wherein the sticking of a thermal color forming layer to a thermal head is not generated, dot reproducibility is well even in high speed recording and high recording density is imparted, by forming a paper support by providing the first base coat layer containing a thermoplastic resin fine particle and SBR latex and the second base coat layer containing polyvinylidene chloride to base paper. CONSTITUTION:In thermal recording paper wherein a thermal color forming layer is provided on a paper support, the paper support is formed by providing the first base coat layer containing a thermoplastic resin fine particle and SBR latex and the second base coat layer containing polyvinylidene chloride to base paper. The thermoplastic resin fine particle is especially pref. composed of a styrene/acrylic resin and a polystyrene resin and the particle size thereof is 0.1-5mum and, in order effectively utilize the heat from a thermal head, said fine particle pref. has a fine particulate hollow globular shape. The polyvinylidene chloride resin used in the second base coat layer is based on a vinylidene chloride monomer and one obtained by copolymerizing a vinyl monomer such as vinyl chloride, methyl methacrylate or acrylonitrile if necessary is used but one containing 40mol.% or more of vinylidene chloride is pref. |
