PURPOSE:To eliminate the difference in distribution of specific gravity of a molded article by closing the mold and filling the same with preliminarily foamed resin, while exhausting air inside a cavity. CONSTITUTION:An exhausting device is fitted to either a fixed die or a moving- side die out of the molding dies for foamed thermoplastic resin and, while exhausting air in the state that both dies are closed, the preliminarily foamed thermoplastic resin is filled up uniformly in the dies. For instance, the drain valve 16 of the fixed- side die with a feeder is closed so that no air flows out from the fixed side, while the drain valve 17 on the moving side is opened and air is exhausted forcedly from an exhaust 14 on the moving side by a blower 15. By this method, the flow of air goes out one-sidedly from the moving side and thereby the flow is regulated, while the air flows out not only from the bottom plate part on the moving side but also from the side plate part on the same side since the pressure of the air inside the moving-side die turns negative, and thus the preliminarily foamed resin is filled up uniformly also on the side of the side plate. |
