PURPOSE:The titled agent having synergistic effects on a wide range of weeds in a small amount, applicable for a prolonged period, comprising two components of a specific thiocarbamate compound and a specified triazine compound of three components of a specific ethyl butyrate compound beseides the two components as active ingredients. CONSTITUTION:A herbicide for paddy fields comprising two components of S- benzyl-N-ethyl-N-isobutyl-thiocarbamate shown by the formula I and 2-methylthio- 4,6-bisethylamino-1,3,5-triazine shown by the formula II, or 2-methyl-4-chlorophenoxy butyric acid ethyl ester shown by the formula III besides the two compounds as active ingredients. By using together the compounds which have incomplete weeding effects by themselves, the herbicide can destroy completely not only annual weeds but also prennial weeds, e.g., arrowhead, slender spikerush, bulrush, Cyperus serotinus Rottb., etc. and phytotoxicity can be prevented by the use of the small amount of the herbicide. |
