A vehicle such as a trailer includes a vehicle body (10), a pair of ground wheels (26) and a suspension system (30) resiliently supporting the body (10) with respect to the wheels (26). The suspension system (30) is so dimensioned and positioned as to be actuable to alter the relative vertical positions of the ground wheels (26) and vehicle body (10) from a normal condition in which the vehicle is mobile to one in which, with a first extremity (24) of the vehicle body (10) supported in a raised position, the vehicle body (10) is inclined from said first extremity (24) to a lowered extremity (25) closely adjacent or in contact with the ground. The preferred suspension includes inflatable/deflatable air bags (38) having air supply lines (40) and acting between the vehicle body (10) and arms (32) which support the wheels (26). |
