The tractor-mounted, agricultural soil working implement is in the form of a rotor cutter where a bladed shaft is covered in the top and rear region by a two-part protective cladding which can be held in a bottom (use) position and a top (non-use) position. The bottom, smaller section is hinged to the top, larger section. The bottom section (6) of the cladding consists of a single part flap (12) of flexible material, or of a similar flap which is split longitudinally and is smooth-walled on the inner side facing the blades (2).
