The upholstered furniture has connections for joining on arms and back rests. The connections (7) form the legs of the furniture (1) and consist of a block (7) in which is a U shaped groove. A bracket is inserted into the groove, and has sides which protrude outside the block (7) and which are fixed to the frame (2) of the piece of furniture. The frame (2) has two holes (4,5) for the ends of the bracket. The blocks (7) can be of varying height, and consist of separate discs placed on top of one another.
