PREPARATION OF SAMPLE FOR SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE

PURPOSE:To permit the dispersion state of latex particles to be well observed by placing latex of rubber or synthetic resin on a sample holder of material having smooth surface and water-absorbing property to prepare a sample for the scanning electron microscope by the ordinary method. CONSTITUTION:On a sample holder, which is made of material having smooth surface and water-absorbing property such as art paper or coated paper, latex of rubber or synthetic resin is placed and vacuum-dried before being coated with carbon and gold by evaporation to prepare a sample for the scanning electron microscope.
