Fixings for attaching washing to a line comprises sleeves of wood, plastic or other material having through the middle a hole of a diameter similar to that of the line, whereby they can be slid easily along the line, but hold the position in which they are put. Several sleeves are threaded onto the line, and articles can be attached by sliding together two of the sleeves to grip the article between the end faces. Advantageously, two taut lines side-by-side may be used, the sleeves having two parallel bores, one for each line. A single sleeve then suffices to fix an article, by gripping it between the two lines. The sleeves are cheap, simple and easy to use. They are unbreakable, impossible to lose, and are immediately to hand when required.
|
