<p>The construction element (1a) has a bridge-like portion (2) of which a first (5) and a second (7) pillars are provided on the lower part thereof with a plurality of steps (6). The second pillar (7) is connected by an inclined part (8) to a channel-like portion (3), provided with an outer edge (9). During construction of the staircase, a second element (1b) is set in place with one of the steps (6) of the first pillar on one arris (10) of the stair (4), as well as with a step corresponding to the second pillar on the arris (11) on the top outer edge (9) of the first element (1a).
