PURPOSE:To stabilize image densities and decrease the occurrence of jam by detecting the humidity change in the apparatus and controlling the output of the high- voltage power source of a transfer charger or separating destaticizer according to the same. CONSTITUTION:The resistance value of the sheet held between an upper register roller 51 and a lower register 52 is measured. Now, when the measured resistance value of the sheet is lower than a standard permissible range, said measured value is fed back to a control system, and the applied voltage of a transfer charger 18 is increased according to the program having beforehand been set in the memory device of the control unit thereof, whereby the field intensity of the transfer part is increased and the amount of charge supply is increased. If the detected resistance value is over or under the permissible control range, the emission of the revolution start instruction of the rollers 51, 52 is ceased by a safety device, and a measuring roller 21 and feed roller 3 are released upward; at the same time, an alarm is displayed and is noticed to the operator. Further, the voltage of a separating destaticizer 19 is also controlled to decrease the amount of the residual charge of the sheet after passage through the destaticizer 19. |
