PURPOSE:To purify waste water to be reused without using a precipitation vessel on the purification of waste water containing organic materials and solids by the combination of a treatment for culturing aerobic bacteria with a rotary disc and a treatment of washing continuously filter sand grains of a filtering device. CONSTITUTION:The waste of subsistence water containing organic materials and solids is subjected to a treatment 1 using a rotary disc, where the disc containing aerobic bacteria cultured on its surface is dipped into the waste water at about the middle level of the disc and rotated. The aerobic bacteria absorb oxygen in the air and eat the organic materials in the waste water. Thus, the organic materials are removed from the waste water. The treated waste water is then filtered with sand filtering device 2, where the solids in the waste water are adsorbed in the filter sand grains. Thus, clean water is obtained. The clean water, after sterilized with a sterilization device D, may be reused as washing water for a flush toilet or the like. When the filter sand grains reduce the filtering ability due to the adsorption of the solids, the sand grains are washed for reusage with a continuous washing device 3. As compared with conventional methods, this invention method enables to purify waste water for reusage without necessity of a vast precipitation vessel. |
