<p>PURPOSE:To measure the quantity of air coming into an engine accurately by arranging inlet port and outlet port of a detection duct so that the axis of a shaft for engine throttle valve and the shaft center line of the detection duct will coincide with each other. CONSTITUTION:The first and second disks 14, 15 are fixed on a throttle chamber 11 circular in section with a bolt 17 through a spacer 16, and an air filter 23 is arranged on the outer periphery thereof. Further, an inlet port 18a and an outlet port 18b of a detection duct square in section which is fitted in grooves 14b, 15b of the disks 14, 15 are arranged so that the duct shaft center line and the axis of a shaft 13 for throttle valve 12 will coincide with each other. According to this constitution, the air sucked through the air filter 23 flows uniformly through a clearance 15a between the disks 14, 15 and in the detection duct 18, therefore a total quantity of the air flow is obtainable through measuring the flow passing in the duct by Karman vortex producing unit 21 and heat wire 22 provided in the detection duct 18.</p> |
