PURPOSE:To obtain a printed image having a high resolution by a method wherein the moving velocity of a scanner is made equal to that of a recording paper, and electrostatic latent images are intermittently formed on a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The electrostatic latent image used in a copier of the carlson system is used instead of the charging electrode in a charging-and-deflection type ink jet recorder. In the copying device, the image of the copy 20 is read by the scanning of the scanner equipped with an illuminating lamp 21, and the electrostatic latent image is formed on the photosensitive body 25. The photosensitive body 25 after passing a charging electrode 28 is irradiated with the light from a charge removing lamp 30 through a slit at regular intervals of time, thereby forming charged zone 25a and charge removing zone 25b alternately on the photosensitive body 25. Since the charged zone 25a contributing to the charging is separate from the preceding and following charged zone 25a', the charging function of the charged zone 25a is scarcely influenced by the charged zone 25a' and therefore a printed image having a high resolution can be obtained. |
