The length of the cutting bar (12) corresponds to the height of the bobbin creel. It is displaceably mounted at its upper end via a roller guide so as to hang on a rail and at its lower end is guided slideably in a lower rail, so that it can be displaceably guided vertically out of the basic position outside the threads along the thread-exit side of the creel. The cutting bar (12) has, on its end faces, two sawtooth-like catch plates (24, 25) which, during the said displacement of the cutting bar (12), guide the grasped threads into slots (27) in which they are severed by motor-driven cutting devices (29). These cutting devices (29) are arranged in a protected manner between the catch plates (24, 25) and behind the slots (27). They are formed by individual shears (31 to 36) which are each assigned to a cutting orifice and which are each mounted so as to be exchangeable as a whole on their own mounting plate (30). <IMAGE>
