PURPOSE:To reduce desulfurizing time and improve desulfurization rate by beforehand charging a desulfurizer into the mixer car formed with multiple projections on the surface of lining bricks, thence pouring molten iron then oscillating the mixer car laterally with the tilting shaft as an axial center. CONSTITUTION:A desulfurizer (Ca carbide, etc.) is beforehand charged into a mixer car consisting in forming multiple projections 11 on the surface of the lining bricks 12 of a furnace body 1, and molten iron is poured onto the desulfurizer, after which with the oscillating shaft of the mixer car as an axial center, the mixer car is reciprocatively turned to the right and left within a range of a fixed angle theta (about 25-30 deg.) to oscillate the furnace body 1 and stir the molten iron. In this way, the desulfurization rate is improved to about >=90%; in addition, the desulfurizing treatment time is reduced and the prevention in lowering of molten iron temperature is achieved. |
