PURPOSE:To make possible high-speed operation by making it possible to shorten the moving distance of the movable parts necessary for changing over of the switch. CONSTITUTION:Optical fibers 1-4, lenses 11, 22, 33, 44 are provided and the lenses 11 and 33 as well as 22 and 44 are opposedly disposed by having their optical axes aligned. The optical axes AB and CD intersect at one point O, and the distances from the point O of intersection from the respective lenses are equal; in addition, the transparent dielectrics 6, 7 which are equal in refractive index and are of the same shape are provided by forming the reflecting surfaces through metal vapor deposition on part of side faces 10, 12. The parallel forward movement of the dielectrics 6, 7 in the arrow directions enables the light emitted from the optical fiber 1 or 2 and paralleled by the lenses 11, 12 to be reflected by the reflecting surface 8 or to be transmitted through the transmission surface 9 then to be changed over and led into the optical fiber 3 or 4. |
