Sea-water desalination plant - uses solar energy and preheated air carrier system

Sea-water desalination plant uses a solar energy heated evaporator in which a carrier air stream for steam is utilised. The air stream before introduction into the evaporator is heated in at least one preheater, the preheater(s), evaporator, and a condenser in which the steam is condensed, being connected in a forced circuit. Pref. both the preheater and the evaporator are designed as plastics solar energy collectors. The condenser is fitted with a heat store for both day and night operation. The plant has a high output and does not deteriorate due to the effects of corrosion.
