PURPOSE:To improve operating characteristic by so constituting the device that automatic focus controlling may be changed over to at least two modes, the 1st operation mode performing focus controlling only once at the first photographing and the 2nd operation mode of performing it continuously during the photographing period. CONSTITUTION:When a change-over knob 12 is set at the FA position, an automatic focus control circuit 21 is set to a mode which performs automatic focus controlling continuously during photographing, and performs focus controlling of the taking lens. When a button 15 is moved in the arrow direction in this state, the automatic focus control circuit 21 is locked of its operation. When the change-over knob 12 is set at the SA position, the mode of performing automatic focus controlling only once at the first photographing is set and when the button 15 is operated in the arrow direction in this state, the automatic focus controlling is accomplished once every time when it is turned on once. When the change-over knob 12 is set at the M position, the mode of performing focus controlling manually is set, and the meshing of a gear 3a and a gear 6 disengages. In this way, the operation of the camera may be made easy. |
