PURPOSE:Titled pin for chain, having superior resistances of abrasion, shock and heat, obtained by performing chromizing treatment of the pin material composed of a specific component composition. CONSTITUTION:Pin material is composed of 0.4-0.7% C, the rest Mn, Si, Cr (e.g. 0.5-2.0% Mn, 1.0-2.0% Si, 0.5-2.0% Cr) and in addition to these, one kind or two kinds or more of Mo, V, Ti, Zr, Ta and Hf (e.g. each 0.1-0.5%) and also, residual % Fe and impurities. Chromizing treatment of said material is performed. Chromium layer of solid solution of Cr and Fe, is formed on the surface of said material. Many metal carbides combined C, Cr with one kind or two kinds or more of elements of Mo, V, Ti, Zr, Ta and Hf, are dotted. Further, coarsening of crystal grain of the material core part, is restrained by said chromizing treatment and minute crystals are formed. |
