The scrub-clearance machine is for land reclamation and initial ploughing. It comprises a frame of strong profiled sections joined together by a hinge (5), while a double-acting hydraulic ram (6) between the hinge and links (8) varies the distance between the frame sections (1,2) so as to adjust the working depth. Disc (3) with cylindrical hubs are held apart on common shafts by distance pieces bolted to them and the shafts, and turn on an oscillating frame mounted on ball bearings with double-acting sealing caps, requiring no lubrication. An offset hitch (14) places the machine in an oblique position in relation to the tractor when secured to the towing hook of the latter.
